Sunday night had one plan: Blenders Pride Reserved Experiences at Jamun, Jubilee Hills, with Chef Kunal Kapur hosting. This is his multi-city gastronomic tour, and Hyderabad's edition landed at 8 PM on 12th July — billed as "Reserved in every sense," and it lived up to it.
The whole evening was built as a multi-sensory pairing exercise — Chef Kunal's food presentations set against live music from The Collective Projekt, with the two meant to move together rather than as separate acts of the night. The signature pour was a seasonal Minty Jamun Cocktail, made for the setting.
Watching Chef Kunal work a room like this — plating, explaining, moving between tables — was the actual highlight. He's someone I've watched on screen for years, so getting a few minutes with him in person, at a venue as polished as Jamun, felt like exactly the kind of Hyderabad evening I started this blog to capture, even when it doesn't turn into a full review.
Not every invite becomes a 600-word breakdown of a menu — some are just worth remembering. This one's filed under Binger Diaries for that reason.
